Those who choose to stay in Amalfi, on the other hand, can start from the Western Gate, better known as “Vallenula”, to get to Via Annunziatella, a magnificent panoramic road that offers beauty at every step, along the which the church of the Santissima Annunziata can also be found.
Church San Nicola dei Greci from the 11th century is definitely worth visiting, with 16th century paintings and an imposing Moorish-style bell tower among the symbols of the city. Also on via Annunziatella, are worth a visit the 13th century Albergo dei Cappuccini, which was originally a convent and the church of San Pietro Canonica with a magnificent cloister and a flowered terrace overlooking the Amalfi Coast.
